Biography
The Fist was formed in July of 2012. Johnny and Julian had wanted to form a band for a few years, but were seemingly never able to get anything to work. Both Johnny and Julian wanted to play lead guitar and constantly argued over the position. David, who until that point had worked solo under the name Agent Ohoolahan, walked in on a particularly heated argument between his two friends. Quickly working to diffuse the situation, he suggested that Julian stick to singing while he would play rhythm guitar, allowing Johnny to take the role of lead guitarist. The compromise satisfied them, and they reached out to their friend James, asking him to play bass for them. After a couple of weeks of searching for a drummer, Johnny got an old friend, Anthony, to join the band.
Within the next two weeks, they wrote their first song, Neverending, and David taught them a few of his own songs, and they went on to collaborate on a song with Chris and Martin of the now defunct band, Suicide by Spoon. They released their self-titled LP in August 2012 with POM Records, but have since gone on an indefinite hiatus because of school. They haven't broken up, but as of right now they aren't working on any new material. Stay tuned for more updates!
